James M. Fox, M.D., F.A.C.S. is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. His practice is restricted to Problems of the Knee Joint and Arthroscopic Surgery of the Knee.

He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Medical School, Madison, and the Orthopedic Program, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York City.

Dr. Fox was the first Fellow in Sports Medicine at the National Athletic Health Institute, 1973-74, and served in the United States Air Force as a Major at Kessler Air Force Base. Dr. Fox was a founding partner of the Southern California Orthopedic Institute and has been in private practice since 1976.

Dr. Fox has participated as a Physician Specialist working as a Team Physician for numerous local high schools and junior colleges and also participated in the 1984 Olympic Soccer Program. Complimenting his academic and professional interest in sports medicine is his participation in cycling, golf, skiing and hiking.

Professionally, he has an extensive list of scientific publications, book chapters and orthopedic text books and also text books for the lay public. He is a Member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America and numerous other Societies. He has been fortunate enough to lecture throughout the world including the United Stares, Europe, Australia, Japan and China. His practice is limited to problems of the knee joint and arthroscopic surgery of the knee.
