Jeannie Botsford, RN, MS, CNOR

With her 24 years of experience, Jeannie Botsford has a long and distinguished career in Perioperative Nursing. For ten years Jeannie was Administrative Director of the Surgical Care Center for two Scripps Hospitals in La Jolla, California.

As a recognized leader in AORN, she served on the Board of Directors, was AORN Treasurer, and officiated as President, '97–'98. She was a Trustee on the Nightingale Institute on the Environment and served on the AORN Foundation Board. In 1990 Ms. Botsford was recognized with an award for "Outstanding Achievement in Perioperative Nursing."

Ms. Botsford has written many articles for the AORN Journal, and is contributing author of three Operating Room nursing texts. She has made many professional presentations to various organizations, including the American College of Surgeons, the AORN World Conferences, and has spoken internationally at environmental conferences.
