Brenda S. Gregory Dawes has accumulated a myriad of achievements in her twenty-plus years of management and education experience for perioperative services.

Her distinguished career includes over ten years as an educator in a large healthcare facility in Houston, Texas, and positions as Director of Surgical Services at St. Anthony's Hospital in Florida and at Columbia/HCA, Texas Orthopedic Hospital.

Brenda is a prominent member of the Association of PeriOperative Registered Nurses, where she served on the National Board of Directors, and as a member and chairperson of numerous committees. She is a member of the AORN of Gulfcoast of Florida. She is the former editor of the AORN Journal, and former Interim Editor for SSM and SSM Online. Brenda has authored many publications appearing in the AORN and other professional journals, as well as chapters in perioperative textbooks.
